Curry captures elusive Finals MVP – Warriors vs Celtics

Curry remarked of his freshly received Bill Russell NBA Finals Most Valuable Player Award, “There have been a lot of successes in my career and that one isn’t on the list.

“Curry’s name was announced as the recipient of the Bill Russell Finals MVP award during the Warriors vs Celtics, which came as no surprise. Even less shocking was the fact that he was a unanimous choice to win it.

That’s how dominant Curry was over the course of the six-game series. His 43-point performance in Game 4 was the only reason the Warriors were able to win and even the series at two games each.

If it hadn’t been for every basket he made in that game, the Warriors would have been down 3-1 in the series and we’d be in a completely different situation today.

Warriors showed just how scary of a team they can be

Despite the fact that the Warriors blew out the Celtics in Game 2 of this series, we never saw the Warriors in this series punishing their opponents into submission.

This dynasty Warriors squad was embodied by the 21-0 run. A team that believes in the phrase “strength in numbers.” That run wasn’t merely fueled by Curry coming to work.

During that stretch Warrios vs Celtics five different Warriors players scored buckets to throw the Celtics off. This Warriors team is difficult to beat because of its depth and unselfishness with the ball, which was evident in Game 6.

Celtics couldn’t get out of their own way … again

Aside from the turnovers, the Celtics players had a hard time responding to the Warriors’ runs until the fourth quarter, when it was too late.

Tatum only scored three points in the second half after scoring 11 in the first, Smart was just 4 of 12 from the field for nine points, and the bench only scored six points.

Brown was the only Celtics player who looked like he was having a good night, but his 34 points weren’t enough to overcome a Warriors team that was playing its best basketball at the perfect time.
