But now, it looks like all our questions are going to be answered! We’ll finally learn who these agents of darkness are—and what they want with Ichigo and his friends!

One of the enduringly popular manga and anime franchises, Bleach is returning to theaters with the movie adaptation of the Thousand Year Blood War saga.

Bleach is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tite Kubo. It was serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump from 2001 to 2016, with the chapters collected into 74 tankōbon volumes. Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki after he obtains the powers of a “Soul Reaper” (死神; shinigami, death god), which allows him to hunt supernatural beings called Hollows. The English translation was distributed in North America by Viz Media, who published 15 volumes before it went on hiatus in 2010.

Bleach has been adapted into an anime series produced by Studio Pierrot and directed by Noriyuki Abe; it ran for over 366 episodes from 2004 to 2012 on TV Tokyo in Japan and spanned 6 seasons including a few movies that lead into its end where Ichigo becomes king of Soul Society at the end of 400 years later like last time I checked with my calendars when I was still young enough not have wrinkles around here yet but now there’s no denying it: time goes fast when you’re having fun!

Ichigo is back!

Ichigo Kurosaki is back! The main character of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is a shinigami—a person who lives in the world of the dead, but can use their powers to interact with humans. In Japan, they’re called “shinigami,” or god’s soul. You may remember Ichigo as a substitute shinigami assigned to the 13th Division in Soul Society. He became an official member of this group after defeating Sosuke Aizen (a former captain) and his army of arrancar—undead creatures made from hollows who have lost their souls.

Conclusion

We’ll be getting the latest news on how the film is coming along and when you can expect to see it in theaters. Stay tuned!
